Ah, tonight I read the story of Ester.
“If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?” -Ester 4:14
I want faith like Ester had.
I know it’s terrible, but sometimes it’s hard for me to stand up for my faith; because I’m scared of being embarrassed. I cannot even imagine standing up for my faith and having the possibility of dying for it.
That’s what Ester did. Literally King Xerxes could have killed her, if he wanted to, for coming into his presence without his permission and telling him that she was a Jew. But she did it anyways.
I think the game changer for her, was when she was talking to Mordecai, and he said, “Perhaps you were made queen for such a time as this?”
I don’t know why, but to me, the words “for such a time as this” are loaded with power.
Like, I know sometimes its hard to imagine… but we were put on this earth for such a time as this. God can use us!! but we have to have gutsy faith.
Faith that isn’t afraid.
Because if God is with us, who can be against us?
I want the type of gutsy faith Ester had,
because what would happen to the world if followers of Christ, not only believed that they were put on the earth for such a time as this, but also acted on it that belief fully trusting in God?
