The video guy.
I had this thought about a week ago while sitting in a car, waiting for my mom to come out of Target… I looked around at all the buildings and the power lines..etc, etc. and thought how funny it would be if a person from the 1800’s time traveled to our time.
Now bear with me, I know this sounds silly. But if you really think about it.. how funny would it be if you saw someone walking around in an antique dress and hair placed in crazy positions at the mall. I really think the person would freak out. It’s true that we have slowly progressed into all this technology and mass production of clothes, food, etc. This stuff didn’t pop out of nowhere, overtime we became more and more advanced in the way of living. Not saying this a bad thing at all.
But I want to compare this to our sin. When I sin, I don’t all of the sudden go from perfect and holy into a murderer. Sinning is a process that slowly but ALWAYS leads to death and destruction. It’s something that doesn’t happen over night…my dad always says sin takes you down a road you don’t want to go down.
Romans 6:12-14 (MSG)
“That means you must not give sin a vote in the way you conduct your lives. Don’t give it the time of day. Don’t even run little errands that are connected with that old way of life. Throw yourselves wholeheartedly and full-time—remember, you’ve been raised from the dead!—into God’s way of doing things. Sin can’t tell you how to live. After all, you’re not living under that old tyranny any longer. You’re living in the freedom of God.”
Haha though I literally just googled this verse, I love it!
