To Kingdom Come…

Psalm 90: 4-11

“So don’t return us to mud, saying,
“Back to where you came from!”
Patience! You’ve got all the time in the world—whether
a thousand years or a day, it’s all the same to you………

You keep track of all our sins; every misdeed
since we were children is entered in your books.”

The fact that God keeps track of all of my wrong doings, scares me.  I have messed up, sinned and pretty much been.. not perfect. I think that if everyone knew every sin that everyone in the world has committed, that we would be disgusted with each other. Why doesn’t God turn His back against us? We are so nasty and sinful.. we are like a dirty pig compared to Him.

Jeremiah 31:33-34

“This is the brand-new covenant that I will make with Israel when the time comes. I will put my law within them—write it on their hearts!—and be their God. And they will be my people. They will no longer go around setting up schools to teach each other about God. They’ll know me firsthand, the dull and the bright, the smart and the slow. I’ll wipe the slate clean for each of them. I’ll forget they ever sinned!” God’s Decree.

God knows all of our sins, yet He is willing and will forget every sin we have committed. Does that mean we won’t reap what we sow? No, but the thought of God wiping our slate clean of all the nastiness; is just amazing.
