a Slave of…
I’ve had this one certain song stuck in my head…
The song’s chorus is… “It’s gonna be worth it… It’s gonna be worth it all.” – Rita Springer is the singer!
So… I have been singing it quietly all day long…and of course I have to write about it!
Martin Luther King Jr. was a man who thought discrimination was down-right wrong! He took a stand. He led many marches… and peace protests against the racial dispute. The people who joined him.. were sprayed with fire-hoses and arrested. They kept going though… the people didn’t give up just because of major setbacks.
Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated… as you all know. He could have stopped and just given up. But He knew what he was standing for… and what he did… was going to be worth it all.
Because of what he did… things changed. People were treated differently.
What does this mean?
Martin stayed strong until the end. He didn’t give up on the problems him and many others were facing.
He was a fighter… and that’s exactly what Jesus was.
Jesus was a fighter for God’s truth to be told. He didn’t give in when people made fun of Him… He didn’t run away when the guards went into the garden where He was… to capture Him.
Jesus knew that He was a conqueror… He believed that dying for US and our SINS was worth it all.
Not only am I writing about being a conqueror in Christ name…but also being an example of Jesus.
Jesus defeated DEATH.
Then…what makes us as Christian’s… think that Jesus… won’t heal us, or that He won’t take care of your financial needs..
It’s like we are slave to the thoughts the devil throws into our minds.. But in all reality… we need to take captive these messed up thoughts that God won’t come through for us.
Taking captive your thoughts is like… throwing the false thoughts into a cage so that will never be able to roam throughout your mind again.
“Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.”
God is faithful..Let Him be the Master of your thoughts…not the devil!
