“Listen to the rain, falling down. Can you hear the voices of the wind?”
De kept begging me to sing with her… so I finally gave in. It was raining softly outside, so she just improvised and came up with the rhythmic line above. I have began thinking about how complex rain is… and the cycle in which rain goes through to become water droplets. The cycle is a 4 step process: Condensation, Precipitation,Accumulation,Evaporation.
Okay, so I think as Christians we go through cycles too. One of the preachers at my church said that we have distant and close seasons with God.
Distant season– when you feel like God has left you during hard times.
Close season– When things are going great, you feel God so often!
I totally agree with this. Even David wrote in Psalm… God why have you forsaken me??
But if you read a few chapters later… David is praising God!
Even David went through those seasons of joy and sadness!
Even though you feel like God has left your side… he hasn’t! In fact your times in life when you feel God has forsaken you is the time when your faith in God is strengthened!
SO don’t give up hope! God is always with you!
Mandisa sang this awesome song! Here is one of the verses!
“He is with you in the conference room
When the world is coming down on you
And your wife and kids don’t know you anymore
And He is with you in the ICU when the doctors don’t know what to do
And it scares you to the core
He is with you”
